To further strengthen the impact of these measures, Jász-Plasztik partnered with mitigia and joined the Mitigia Carbon Crediting Program. Through this collaboration, the avoided emissions generated by renewable energy are converted into quality carbon credits.
The decision to create carbon credits was driven by a dual purpose. On one hand, it ensures that the environmental benefits of solar investments are fully quantified and certified. On the other, it allows like-minded companies to offset their own emissions in a transparent and reliable way.
Mitigia credits stand out for their uniform methodology, consistent verification, and cost-efficient project pooling framework. For buyers, this translates into confidence, clarity, and measurable ESG impact.

Description
Pioneering Grid-Restrained Renewable Energy and Carbon Credit Generation
MOTIM Zrt. stands among Hungary’s most advanced grid-restrained power plants, successfully reaching the PAC milestone in 2023. Built on a reclaimed red mud reservoir, the facility combines innovative engineering with environmental responsibility. With a total capacity of 3.8 MVA, powered by Huawei’s state-of-the-art 800V inverters (215KTL and 330KTL models) and dual-sided JETION solar modules delivering 4.57 MWp, the plant is designed for both efficiency and resilience.
Directly connected to the MOTIM substation via a 400-meter cable section, the system is equipped with grid-restraining solutions and advanced measurement technology at 35 kV. What sets MOTIM2.0 apart is not only its grid-limiting operation but also its active power regulation capability, allowing energy production to be scheduled in 15-minute intervals. This transforms the facility into a hybrid balancing and grid-restrained energy unit, delivering flexibility and stability to the power system.
Through its partnership with Mitigia, MOTIM Zrt. extends its environmental impact beyond clean electricity generation. The avoided emissions achieved by the plant are converted into homogeneous, verifiable carbon credits under the Mitigia Carbon Credit Issuance Program, developed and operated by MITIGIA CARBON Zrt. Each credit is created within an unified methodology, legal framework, and verification process, ensuring transparency and reliability for buyers.
For MOTIM Zrt., the construction of a state-of-the-art renewable power plant was only the first step. By issuing carbon credits, the project enables companies across industries to offset their emissions, strengthen ESG performance, and contribute to the global transition toward a low-carbon future.

ID Energy Issuance Project
Description
Empowering the Grid with Surplus Solar Power and High-Integrity Carbon Credits
ID Energy Group operates a sophisticated portfolio of five solar power installations whose energy output consistently exceeds onsite requirements—even excluding minimal self-consumption (approximately 0.5%). During peak generation hours, the surplus clean electricity is fed directly into the national grid, supporting the replacement of fossil fuel–based power generation across Hungary.
This substitution effect is quantified using the rigorous Mitigia CARBON Zrt. methodology, which assigns a correlation coefficient specific to the mitigation period, representing the strength of “displacement impact”—i.e., how each kilowatt-hour of green electricity offsets fossil energy on the grid.
In 2024 alone, these uncontracted, unsold green electricity volumes—neither tied to direct sales agreements nor backed by origin guarantees—amounted to 6,613,255 kWh. Under the Mitigia Carbon Credit Issuance Program, this clean energy surplus translates into Voluntary Carbon Units (VCUs), generated with consistent methodology, standardized calculation, legal alignment, and verification.
For ID Energy Group, delivering more than solar power was the starting point. Solarnow Issuance Project
Description
Solarnow - Driving Green Investment through the Szihalom Solar Power Plant
The Szihalom solar power plant, developed and operated by Solarnow Fejlesztő Kft., is a fully on-grid, commercial renewable energy facility supplying clean electricity directly to Hungary’s national grid. As both investor and operator, Solarnow is authorized to generate Voluntary Carbon Units (VCUs) associated with the project, ensuring that the environmental benefits of the investment are fully recognized within the voluntary carbon market.
This project qualifies as an additional green investment, as confirmed through documentation and energy production data. Carbon credits are issued exclusively for electricity volumes not linked to direct green energy sales contracts or origin guarantees, thereby excluding any possibility of double counting. This transparent approach ensures that each VCU represents a verifiable and uncompromised contribution to emission reduction.
Between September 6 and December 31, 2024, the Szihalom plant generated a total of 12,175,900 kWh of renewable electricity. From this, 4,814,623 kWh was eligible for carbon credit issuance under Mitigia’s methodology, forming the basis of Solarnow’s contribution to the voluntary carbon market.
For Solarnow Fejlesztő Kft., the Szihalom solar project is not an isolated achievement but part of a long-term strategy to expand and deepen green investment activities. By combining renewable power generation with high-integrity carbon credit issuance, the company strengthens both its own sustainability profile and that of the businesses that choose to offset emissions through its projects.
