Levente Tóth, founder and CEO of mitigia, has built his start-up with the determination to mitigate the greenhouse gas emissions of road transport. Although the means have changed, the goal is the same: to avoid the emissions of 267 000 tonnes of CO2 by 2033.

	Green energy production - Renewable energy investors Green investors that own/operate renewable energy power plants on eligible green energy sources
	Energy storage builders Green investors that own/operate renewable energy storages balancing out the electricity grid
	Electric charging network - Charge point operators/ E-Mobility providers Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) and Charge Point Operators (CPOs) that own/operate public or private charge points
	Fleet electrification - Large fleet owners MNCs, leasing & rental companies aggregating the market demand for battery electric vehicle fleets

By switching to battery electric vehicles (BEVs) we can already reduce the CO₂e emissions by 12 kgs for every 100 kms travelled, compared to internal combustion engine vehicles (ICE). The remaining 4.5 kgs/ 100 kms signify the average carbon dioxide content of the electricity that charges BEVs.

To achive a true net zero state of road transport, we need renewable energy sources. Either in the form of charge points operating with green energy, or in the form of renewable energy supplying powerplants.

(To avoid double-counting of carbon credits, it is not allowed to originate for the same volume of rewable energy at the charge point AND at the power plant too.)
